For many years I reviewed books in various newspapers and journals but I quit several years ago. I'd like to try again, but on my own terms. That is, I'd like to write only about books that interest me (the reader can assume that any book here is, in my opinion, worth reading) and I don't want to feel that I have to describe the story, or be "fair" etc. Nor does the book have to be new. I want to write whatever comes to mind in a single, concentrated sitting. And, of course, I hope it will be of interest to others.
